at MAZ
MAZ’S SPECIAL ENGLISH PROGRAM Special English is a fast-track program where students learn the English language, before joining regular IGCSE classes. This program is specially designed for non-native speakers with limited English proficiency, who will learn how to listen to English and understand it, as well as develop writing and speaking skills in the language. Special English is a 2-term program and during the program, the students will also join specific normal lessons, school activities and events, to ensure social interaction with other students, which will fasten their command of the English language.

English as an Additional Language
English is the most widely spoken language in the world and serves as a bridge for communication across cultures and countries. Mastering English from an early age not only enhances academic success but also opens doors to global opportunities in education, careers, and travel. It builds confidence, improves access to information, and equips children with a vital skill for thriving in our interconnected world.
EAL – Junior
Special English Junior is designed for younger students who need to strengthen their English skills before fully integrating into the mainstream IGCSE curriculum. This program focuses on building strong foundations in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through engaging, age- appropriate activities. Students develop confidence in everyday communication, classroom language, and basic academic vocabulary. In addition to intensive English lessons, students participate in selected regular classes, school activities, and events to encourage social interaction and natural language development in a supportive environment.
EAL – Senior
Special English Senior is tailored for secondary students who require accelerated English preparation before entering mainstream IGCSE classes. The program emphasizes academic English, critical thinking, subject-specific vocabulary, structured writing, and confident oral communication. Students are trained to understand classroom instruction, participate in discussions, and produce well-organized written work across different subjects. Alongside intensive English instruction, students attend selected regular lessons and school activities, ensuring smooth academic integration and continuous social development within the school community.
